Dear Friends,
Happy New Year and may you be revived, refreshed by the Holy Spirit David said,"I have been anointed with fresh oil". (Psalm 92:10)
-Ecclesiastes 9:8 says, "Let your garments be always white with purity and let your head not lack the oil of gladness."( Amp. Version)
When we as Christians fall into a slump in our walk, our prayer lives, our service, attendance to church and even in our giving, we then need to understand that something is wrong. I know you love God, and you are still serving him. However, the joy is gone; you have worse days than good days. Life, ministry, and work suddenly all becomes a drag and drudgery. You feel dry, flat, and you have lost your cutting edge.
What is suddenly wrong is there is a lack of fresh oil! Ecclesiastes 10:10 says, "If the ax is dull and one does not sharpen the edge than he must use more strength but wisdom brings success. There is a desperate need today for the anointing of God. You need fresh oil and anointing from heaven to accomplish the purpose of God.
In Psalm 92:10 David said, "But my horn you have exalted like a wild ox. I have been anointed with fresh oil".
That is why I believe it is so important for each one of us coming into the New Year because God wants to release something new and fresh in you. We cannot live on former revivals and on past anointing. We must be people who are anointed with fresh oil daily.
These are some examples of needing a fresh oil anointing:
-If we have bondage's in our family, the anointing of God destroys the yoke of bondage.
Isaiah 10:27- And is shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
-When we need God's wisdom the anointing teaches us all things.
John 16:13- Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak and He will show you things to come.
-When in need of miracles the anointing equips us with miracle power to do what Jesus did.
John 14:12- Verily verily, I say unto you, He that believes on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my father.
-When we have family and friends who need to be saved, the anointing makes us soul winners and bold witnesses for Jesus.
Acts 1:8-But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
The anointing doesn't break the yoke....The anointing DESTROYS the yoke.
I John 3:8- He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Yokes come in the form of sickness, sin, fear, depression, bad habits, smoking, drugs, alcohol, dependency, compulsive desires, addictions, demonic influence, oppression, pornography, the occult, rebellion and violence.
In 2011 celebrate the Fresh Oil in the spirit of God and praise his goodness. May your New Year be filled with a double portion of his Fresh Oil, favor, increase, grace for all your days, His love, joy, health and his amazing peace that exceeds all understanding.
