The Most Valuable Gift Of Love

February is already here.  This is the month designated by the world to be the month of love.  It is the time of year that compels us to show our love and gratitude to our favorite someone.  We do so, at times under pressure, or maybe no pressure, and we buy candy, flowers, teddy bears and jewelry.  We go out to dinner, and write love notes.

I would like to talk to you about a most valuable gift given to us with no prejudice or favoritism.  This gift reaches out to all mankind and was given to us thousands of years ago by the Champion of Love…God Himself, and it’s still valuable today.  It has never lost its power.

In the bible John 3:16 says,
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
This verse speaks of the heart of God and the plan of God for you and me.  God made the supreme sacrifice by giving His Son.  He showed us His heart for us by expressing His love for all mankind and the plan of God, sending His Son for you and for me. He shared His will for us which is that we might have eternal life.

No one will love you more than God.  No other god has given his only son to die on the cross and rise again on the 3rd day to save mankind from their sin.  You see, God doesn’t condemn you.  He loves you with an everlasting love.  All He asks is that you believe in Him.

We must come to Jesus like Nicodemus did, see John 1 – 3.  Nicodemus was a powerful man, a ruler of Israel and yet he knew of his own need for a Savior.  As you read his story you see that he wanted to come face to face (John 3:1,3) , heart to heart (John 3:9,21) and mind to mind (John 3:4,8) with Jesus.

Nicodemus chose a quiet time in the cool breeze of evening for his encounter.  I want to encourage you to choose a quiet time of your day.  Today is the perfect, the perfect day!  All God asks is that you believe Him.

You may have never had an encounter or maybe you have but life took you into other paths.  Make Jesus the Lord of your life  or come back to Him, repent of any sin and ask Jesus to come into your heart and make a commitment to Him.  When you do you’ll experience the love of God and gain a new revelation  of his love and peace.

This February plunge into real love that will never leave you and never let you down when you need help.  Ask Jesus into your heart. All you have to do is open your heart to Him and pray this prayer:

Heavenly Father,
I come to You in prayer asking for the forgiveness of my sins.  I confess with my mouth and believe with my heart that Jesus is Your Son, and that He died on the cross at Calvary that I might be forgiven and have eternal life in the kingdom of heaven.  Father I believe that Jesus rose from the dead and I ask You right now to come into my life and be my personal Savior and Lord.  I repent of my sins and will worship You all the days of my life!   Because Your Word is truth, I confess with my mouth that I am born again and cleansed by the blood of Jesus!   In Jesus name, Amen

If you've prayed this prayer let us know.  We're a praying church and we meet every day at noon for prayer.  We would love to hold you up in prayer.

Make this your month of love with the Champion of Love, Jesus Christ Himself.

Blessings,
