Steadfast in Prayer: By Yolanda Duley

Some time ago in  prayer, I was reminding the Lord concerning some overdue prayer requests, not yet answered. I began to feel a little frustrated and found myself talking to God in my natural thinking instead of a spiritual way. I asked; "why God, do you wait so long to answer this prayer"? In thought, I questioned; "What is the slow up in heaven and have you been that busy all these months or am I on the back burner"? I feel like I'm waiting, to the rear of a line and all I can see, is everybody else around me being blessed. I then decided, to go to the Lord for my answer and this is what I found. The Higher answer in scripture- .

1 Cor. 10:3-4 says; 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds-

I have been thinking, a bit, fleshy. I have bought into a satanic fear. That God, will never help me with this one. The truth is God in me respects my weapons of prayer, and he thinks my requests according to his word is strong to dismay principalities and impediments. You see, Satan uses fear tactics and rejection against us and brings us to a doubting place. So, how do we succeed? I continue in the word and find another answer.

Ephesians 6:12 says; 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Wow, the word in verse 1 says; I am to engage in a wrestling match. My opponent is a ruler of cosmic power. How is that for a scary match? I realize it is a blood battle against the evil forces, and my simple request, will not cause God  instantly to come on the seen and magically make all things better. Sometimes, in the war, there is no answer and at times casualties, and it affects every area of our lives. I also know. It is a spiritual battle, and it can only be won with much intercession and the power of the blood of Jesus my source of victory, is in what Jesus has already done through his death and  resurrection and the shedding of his blood Ephesians  describes it well.

Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. Yes, we are victorious! In

Psalms 91:3-4 says; 3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the Fowler and from the perilous pestilence.4 He shall cover you with His feathers,And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.

Isaiah 54:17 it says;17No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

No one can keep us from the love of God. Therefore, all the principalities and powers have limited tactics that do not work and can never match the power of God and his word. He is the head  of all principalities and powers of darkness. God has a perfect purpose over all my delays because he sees my tomorrows. I have to trust him and apply his victory by faith believing my prayers have been answered. So, I am now refreshed, with a new insight and hope as God continues to encourage me in his word,  I continue to encourage you.

A. Pray in Faith
B. Believe in Faith
C. Ask in Faith
D. Rejoice in Faith
E. In all prayer and supplications I stand firm.

This will bring you a sure victory and answer in his word:

Isaiah 60:1-2 says;"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. 2 See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you.
May you be blessed in your time of prayer,
